song #2: first love/late spring my first mitski song bass tab gives me Emotions ALL of mitski is just Emotions tbh also, pretty easy & fun to learn how to play i relate to "lately i've been crying like a tall child" so hard even though i am 5'1 "胸がはち切れそうで" roughly means "my chest feels like it is going to explode"

song #3: your best american girl breakout single off of puberty 2 first album on new/current record label (Dead Omens) whenever a man has wronged me i listen to this ranked by NPR as one of the best songs by a female or nonbinary artist of the 21st century in an interview she said it's about being in love with someone from a v different background and not being able to surpass that "Your mother wouldn't approve of how my mother raised me but I do, I think I do"

song #4: nobody feelings?? at the disco?? first single off of be the cowboy first album after hitting new popularity w/ best american girl way different sound than makeout creek or puberty 2 - nearly all the distortion is gone (outside of some intentional spots), much less guitar, voice isn't doubled pitchfork interprets thus as purer vulnerability. do with that what you will truly a very upbeat song for one that starts with the lyrics "my god i'm so lonely" watch the music video it is BONKERS
