WXTJ Jamz

What is WXTJ Jamz?

Inspired by NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concerts, “WXTJ Jamz” (or stylized as “WXTJAMZ,” either is cool with us) is a student-run video series of curated live musical performances — hosted by WXTJ Student Radio 100.1 FM and filmed on the stage at the WTJU station in Charlottesville, Virginia. The project was officially launched in the summer of 2022 by WXTJ Director Ashley Park, later being produced by her and WXTJ/WTJU Audiovisual Engineer Ben Larsen.

The goal of the series is to highlight the creativity and talent of local artists, student musicians, and UVA-affiliated acts across a wide variety of genres. For booking inquiries, please see FAQs.
